Privacy & Cookie Policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:
ATLASS Technology AG
Albulastrasse 55
8048 Zürich
Switzerland
E-mail: team@atlass.ch · Phone: +41 44 431 46 92
For any data protection matter, please contact us at team@atlass.ch.
2. Applicable law
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and – where applicable, in particular with regard to persons in the EU and the EEA – the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Representative in the EU (Art. 27 GDPR): add name and address of the EU representative or – if not required after legal review – delete this paragraph
3. Visiting the website and server log files
This website is hosted by Hostpoint AG, Neue Jonastrasse 60, 8640 Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland. With every request the web server automatically stores technical information: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, status code, referrer (previously visited page) as well as browser and operating system.
Purpose: secure and stable operation of the website, error analysis and defence against attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: Hostpoint deletes the log files automatically once they are no longer required – according to Hostpoint generally after six months at the latest. Hostpoint processes this data as our processor.
4. Contact form, e-mail and phone
When you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by phone, we process the information you provide: in the form your first name, last name and e-mail address (required), organisation and area of interest (optional) and your message. In addition, the page language and the time of the request are transmitted. A hidden check field and a minimum time protect the form against spam; no cookies are used for this.
Purpose: answering your request, including requests for references or demos. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Form data is sent via Hostpoint’s server by e-mail to our mailbox team@atlass.ch and is not additionally stored in a database. Retention: we delete your data once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for business correspondence under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations, up to ten years) require longer storage.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use cookies. We use no analytics, tracking or advertising services, embed no social media plugins and store no information on your device (including local storage). For this reason we do not display a cookie banner.
Should we use cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary in the future, we will ask for your consent beforehand (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and update this policy.
6. Fonts, images and third-party content
All fonts (Hind, SIL Open Font License), images and scripts are loaded directly from our own server. No content is loaded from third-party providers such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks, so no data is transmitted to such providers when you visit the website. E-mail and phone links merely open applications on your own device.
7. Recipients and processors
We do not pass your personal data on to third parties and do not sell it. The only recipients are:
- Hostpoint AG, Switzerland – hosting of the website and sending of form e-mails
- our e-mail provider for the mailbox team@atlass.ch: add provider and country (e.g. Hostpoint AG, Switzerland)
- authorities, where we are legally obliged to disclose data
Agreements pursuant to Art. 9 FADP and Art. 28 GDPR are in place with our processors.
8. Transfers abroad
The website is operated in Switzerland. The European Commission has an adequacy decision for Switzerland, which it confirmed on 15 January 2024. Should a transfer to a country without an adequate level of data protection be necessary in an individual case – for example to members of our development team in Silicon Valley to prepare a demo you have requested – it will only take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, or with your explicit consent.
9. Data security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. The connection between your browser and our server is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
10. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law you have in particular the following rights:
- access to the personal data we process about you (Art. 25 FADP, Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 32 FADP, Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 28 FADP, Art. 20 GDPR)
- objection to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdrawal of any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Please send your request to team@atlass.ch. We may ask for proof of identity to prevent misuse.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland, www.edoeb.admin.ch. Persons in the EU or EEA may also contact the supervisory authority at their place of residence or work.
12. No automated decision-making
No automated individual decision-making or profiling takes place on this website. The processing of personal data within our simulation, assessment and examination products is governed by separate agreements with our clients.
13. Obligation to provide data
You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. Without the required details in the contact form, however, we cannot answer your request.
14. Changes
We may amend this policy at any time. The version published on this website applies.
